This is a study companion for Cambridge IELTS 14, Test 3, Listening. Use it with your own copy of the book and its audio: do the test first, then use this page to see what each section was about, learn the vocabulary, and understand every answer and what you should have listened for.

Golden rule of Listening: the recording plays only once and the answers come in order. Before each section, read the questions and predict the type of word needed. Watch for distractors.

Section 1: Flanders Conference Hotel
Situation: a caller asks a hotel employee about facilities for holding a business conference — meeting rooms, equipment, catering, leisure facilities and location. Question type: note/table completion (Q1–10), ONE WORD AND/OR A NUMBER. পরিস্থিতি: একজন কলার হোটেলে ব্যবসায়িক সম্মেলন আয়োজনের সুবিধা নিয়ে জানতে চান। নোট পূরণ।

Section 2: Volunteering Opportunities

Section 3: A Carnival Band Project
