This is a study companion for Cambridge IELTS 17, Test 2, Listening. Use it with your own copy of the book and its audio: do the test first, then see what each section was about, learn the vocabulary, and understand every answer and what to listen for.

Golden rule: the recording plays once and answers come in order. Before each part, read the questions and predict the word type. Watch for distractors — a wrong option is often mentioned first.

Part 1: Voluntary Work in Southoe Village
