Section 1: Enquiring About a Car
Situation: a conversation about buying/hiring a car — the engine size (1.4 litres), whether it is automatic, the colour, paying by credit, garage names, a title, and whether the price is reasonable. Question type: note / form completion (Q1–10). পরিস্থিতি: একটি গাড়ি কেনা/ভাড়া নিয়ে কথোপকথন — ইঞ্জিন (1.4 litre), automatic কি না, রঙ, credit-এ পরিশোধ, গ্যারেজের নাম, একটি পদবি, দাম যুক্তিসংগত কি না। নোট/ফর্ম পূরণ।

Section 2: Working / Volunteering Abroad
Situation: a monologue giving information about working or volunteering in another country — you first choose two correct answers, then note details such as references, the country, the weather, and answer further multiple-choice questions. Section 3: A Course Tutorial
Situation: a tutorial discussion about a course — key dates (5th May, 16th July), being clear, a course outline, the second half, standards of teaching, group discussion, handouts, written work and student support. Situation: a single-speaker lecture on recycling — you note figures and the products that companies make from recycled glass, paper and plastic (a percentage, incineration plants, drop-off points, cooking, a large figure, roads, soil conditioner, containers, pencils and business cards).
