Personal Introduction Not Scored
Read the prompt, then record your introduction.
1 · Read Aloud
Prepare, then read the text aloud clearly and naturally.
Trap: the scoring engine checks every word — skipping or mispronouncing one costs both Reading and Speaking marks.
2 · Repeat Sentence
Listen once, then immediately repeat the sentence exactly.
Show the sentence (after you try)
"The museum's new wing will feature an interactive exhibit on renewable energy."
3 · Describe Image
Prepare, then describe the chart in your own words.
Trap: don't just list numbers — open with the overall trend ("commute times vary sharply between these four cities"), then give 2-3 supporting details.
4 · Retell Lecture
Listen to the lecture (taking notes if you like), then retell its key points.

"Today I want to talk about how tsunamis form and why they can be so destructive far from where they originate. Most tsunamis are triggered by sudden movements of the ocean floor, typically caused by large underwater earthquakes along tectonic plate boundaries. When the seafloor shifts abruptly, it displaces an enormous volume of water above it, generating a series of waves that spread outward across the ocean in all directions. In deep open water, these waves can be barely noticeable, sometimes only a few centimetres high, but they travel extremely fast, often exceeding seven hundred kilometres per hour. As a tsunami approaches shallower coastal waters, its speed decreases dramatically, but this lost energy has to go somewhere, so the wave's height increases sharply, sometimes reaching several metres before striking the shore. Because a tsunami can travel across an entire ocean basin in a matter of hours, warning systems rely on networks of ocean sensors and coastal tide gauges to detect unusual wave activity and issue alerts to distant coastal communities well before the waves arrive. Public education about recognising natural warning signs, such as a sudden, unusual withdrawal of the sea from the shoreline, has also saved many lives in areas where formal warning systems may not reach everyone in time."
5 · Answer Short Question
Listen to the question, then answer with a single word or short phrase.
Show expected answer (after you try)

6 · Summarize Group Discussion
Listen to the discussion, then give a spoken summary covering both viewpoints.

Speaker A: "I think companies should let employees choose freely between working from home and coming into the office, since people are simply more productive in different environments."
Speaker B: "I understand that, but fully remote teams can struggle with spontaneous collaboration and mentoring junior staff, things that happen naturally when people share a physical office."
Speaker A: "That's true for some roles, though many companies now use scheduled in-person days specifically to preserve that collaboration without forcing a full return to the office every day.
Speaker B: "Fair point, but hybrid schedules can also create unequal treatment, where employees who happen to be in the office more often get noticed and promoted more easily than remote colleagues.
Moderator: "So our panel is divided between prioritising flexible remote work for individual productivity, and preserving structured office time for collaboration, mentoring and equal visibility."
Trap: mention at least two different viewpoints — not just one speaker's opinion.
7 · Respond to a Situation
Prepare, then speak an appropriate response to the situation.
Trap: match your tone to the situation — an apology to a classmate should sound sincere and include a clear offer to make things right.
8 · Summarize Written Text
Read the passage, then write a one-sentence summary (5-75 words) in 10 minutes.
9 · Write Essay
Write a 200-300 word argumentative essay in 20 minutes.
📖 Compare with 3 sample responses (strong / mid / weak)
"Social media's impact on society remains a deeply contested issue. Critics point to well-documented harms, including the spread of misinformation, the erosion of attention spans, and mounting evidence linking heavy platform use among teenagers to increased rates of anxiety and depression. Supporters, meanwhile, emphasise social media's unprecedented power to connect distant families, give marginalised voices a public platform, and mobilise rapid grassroots responses to disasters and social causes. Both perspectives capture something true: the same features that enable meaningful connection, algorithmically curated feeds designed to maximise engagement, can equally amplify outrage and misinformation when left unregulated. In my view, the technology itself is largely neutral, and the outcome depends heavily on the safeguards surrounding it, including stronger content moderation, algorithmic transparency, and digital literacy education for younger users. Rather than treating social media as inherently harmful or beneficial, societies would be better served by focusing regulatory and educational efforts on mitigating its clearest risks while preserving its genuine benefits for communication and civic participation."
"Social media has good and bad sides. Some people think it is bad because it can make people feel sad or worried, especially young people. Also, sometimes false information spreads very fast on social media. But other people think social media is good. It helps people talk to family who live far away. It also helps people share news about important problems quickly. I think social media is not good or bad by itself. It depends on how people use it. If companies control the bad content better, social media can be more helpful for everyone in society."
মধ্যম: মূল বিষয়বস্তু ঠিক আছে কিন্তু সহজ বাক্য, সীমিত উদাহরণ ও শব্দভান্ডার।
"Social media is very popular now. Some say it is bad thing. Some say it is good thing. I use social media every day for talk friend. I think social media good if use it correct way. This is my opinion about this topic important today."
দুর্বল: ব্যাকরণ ভুল অনেক, খুব কম শব্দ, স্পষ্ট গঠন নেই।
