Visa Type: A Schengen (Type C) visa is required for Bangladeshi citizens travelling to Malta for tourism, family visits or other short stays of up to 90 days within any 180-day period. How to Fill Up the Visa Form
The harmonised Schengen application form is completed online or in block letters, then printed and signed. How to Submit the Visa
Book an appointment through the visa application centre, then attend in person to submit your documents and give biometrics (fingerprints and a photograph). Biometrics are reused for 59 months, so frequent travellers may be exempt. Student Visa (Long-Stay Visa - Type D)
Visa Type: For a course longer than 90 days, Bangladeshi students need a national long-stay (Type D) visa for Malta, which is converted into a residence permit for study purposes after arrival. How to Fill Up the Visa Form
Use the national long-stay form, not the Schengen short-stay form. Documents that are not in English or the national language must be translated by a certified translator and legalised or apostilled. Your employer files the work-permit application with the national labour office while you file the Type D visa application in Dhaka. Both files must show an identical job title, salary and start date.
