How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 10, Test 4, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: School
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is school — whether you went to a secondary/high school near where you lived, what you liked about your school, anything you didn't like, and how you think your school could be improved. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় স্কুল — বাড়ির কাছে স্কুলে গিয়েছেন কি না, কী ভালো লাগত, কী ভালো লাগত না, কীভাবে উন্নত করা যায়।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. The prompts ask "why/why not", so always add a reason. Keep answers to two or three sentences. উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ। "কেন/কেন নয়" যোগ করুন; ২–৩ বাক্য।
Useful openers: "I went to a school just a short walk from home…", "What I liked most was…", "If I could change one thing, I'd…"

Part 2: Describe something you don't have now but would really like to own in the future
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: what this thing is, how long you have wanted to own it, where you first saw it, and to explain why you would like to own it. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। এটি কী, কতদিন ধরে চান, প্রথম কোথায় দেখেছেন, কেন চান।

Pick something concrete you genuinely want — a car, a house, a laptop, a musical instrument. Describe it in detail and give heartfelt reasons why owning it would matter to you. সত্যিকার একটি জিনিস বাছুন (গাড়ি, বাড়ি, ল্যাপটপ, বাদ্যযন্ত্র); বিস্তারিত বর্ণনা ও কারণ।
Part 3: Owning Things; Possessions & Success
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are owning things (what young people most want to own, why people feel they need to own things, whether owning a lot makes people happy) and possessions and success (whether TV and films make people want new possessions, the benefits to society, and whether possessions will still signal success in future). Part 3: জিনিস মালিকানা; সম্পদ ও সফলতা।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "does owning a lot make people happy?", give a point, explain why, then an example. Show both sides and use hedging (it depends on…, generally) for opinion questions. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ; দুই দিক ও hedging।
