How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 11, Test 2, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: Friends
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is friends — how often you go out with friends, your best friend at school, how friendly you are with your neighbours, and whether friends or family are more important to you. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় বন্ধু — কতবার বন্ধুদের সাথে বের হন, স্কুলের সেরা বন্ধু, প্রতিবেশীদের সাথে সম্পর্ক, বন্ধু নাকি পরিবার বেশি গুরুত্বপূর্ণ।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. Remember to add "why/why not". Keep answers to two or three sentences. উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ; ২–৩ বাক্য।
Useful openers: "I try to meet my friends…", "My closest friend from school was…", "I'm on good terms with my neighbours because…"

Part 2: Describe a writer you would like to meet
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: who the writer is, what you already know about this writer, what you would like to find out about him/her, and to explain why you would like to meet this writer. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। লেখক কে, তাঁর সম্পর্কে কী জানেন, কী জানতে চান, কেন দেখা করতে চান।

Choose a writer whose books you actually know — a novelist, poet or non-fiction author. Mention a work or two, one thing you admire, a question you would ask, and a clear reason for wanting to meet them. পরিচিত লেখক বাছুন; এক-দুটি বই, একটি প্রশংসনীয় দিক, একটি প্রশ্ন ও স্পষ্ট কারণ।
Part 3: Reading and Children; Reading for Different Purposes
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are reading and children (which books are popular with children, why some children read little, how to encourage reading) and reading for different purposes (when reading at speed is useful, jobs that need a lot of reading, whether novels are more interesting than factual books). Part 3: পড়া ও শিশু; বিভিন্ন উদ্দেশ্যে পড়া।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "how can children be encouraged to read?", give a point, explain how, then an example. Show both sides on opinion questions. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ; দুই দিক দেখান।
