How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 11, Test 4, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Part 1: Names
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is names — how your parents chose your name, whether your name has any special meaning, whether it is common or unusual in your country, and whether you would change your name if you could. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় নাম — বাবা-মা কীভাবে নাম রাখলেন, নামের বিশেষ অর্থ আছে কি না, নামটি সাধারণ নাকি অস্বাভাবিক, নাম বদলাতে চাইবেন কি না।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. For "would you change your name?", say yes/no, explain why, and add a personal detail. Keep answers short. উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ; সংক্ষিপ্ত।
Useful openers: "I was named after…", "My name actually means…", "It's a fairly common name because…"

Part 2: Describe a TV documentary you watched that was particularly interesting
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: what the documentary was about, why you decided to watch it, what you learnt during it, and to explain why it was particularly interesting. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। ডকুমেন্টারিটি কী নিয়ে ছিল, কেন দেখলেন, কী শিখলেন, কেন এটি বিশেষভাবে আকর্ষণীয়।

Choose a documentary you actually watched — about nature, history, science or a person. Use past tenses, mention one or two facts you learnt, and give clear reasons why it held your attention. সত্যিকার দেখা ডকুমেন্টারি বাছুন — প্রকৃতি, ইতিহাস, বিজ্ঞান বা কোনো ব্যক্তি নিয়ে। অতীত কাল; দু-একটি শেখা তথ্য; আকর্ষণের স্পষ্ট কারণ।
Part 3: Different Types of TV Programmes; TV Advertising
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are different types of TV programmes (which are most popular, whether there are too many game shows, whether TV is the main way people get the news) and TV advertising (which products are advertised most, whether people pay attention to adverts, how important regulations are). Part 3: বিভিন্ন ধরনের টিভি অনুষ্ঠান; টিভি বিজ্ঞাপন।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "do people pay attention to TV adverts?", give a point, explain why, then an example. Show both sides and use hedging for opinion questions. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ; দুই দিক ও hedging।
