How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 12, Test 6, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: Songs and Singing
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is songs and singing — whether you enjoy singing, the kinds of songs you liked as a child, whether you would like to learn to sing well, and how important singing is in your country's culture. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় গান ও গাওয়া — গাইতে ভালোবাসেন কি না, ছোটবেলায় কোন গান পছন্দ ছিল, ভালো গান শিখতে চান কি না, সংস্কৃতিতে গানের গুরুত্ব।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. For "do you enjoy singing?", say yes/no, explain why (it relaxes you / you feel shy), and add where or when you sing. Keep answers to two or three sentences. উত্তর + কারণ + ছোট বিবরণ। ২–৩ বাক্য।
Useful openers: "I'm quite fond of singing, especially…", "As a child I loved…", "Singing plays a big role in our festivals because…"

Part 2: Describe a film/movie actor from your country who is very popular
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: who this actor is, what kinds of films they appear in, what you know about their life, and to explain why this actor is so popular. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। অভিনেতা কে, কোন ধরনের ছবিতে অভিনয় করেন, তাঁর জীবন সম্পর্কে কী জানেন, কেন তিনি এত জনপ্রিয়।

Choose an actor you genuinely admire so you have plenty to say. Describe two or three of their well-known films, one interesting fact about their life or career, and give clear reasons for their popularity (talent, charm, roles people relate to). সত্যিকার পছন্দের অভিনেতা বাছুন; দুই-তিনটি ছবি, জীবনের একটি তথ্য, জনপ্রিয়তার স্পষ্ট কারণ।
Part 3: Watching Films/Movies; Theatre
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are watching films (why people enjoy films, whether films are a good way to learn about a country, whether cinema will survive at home-streaming age) and the theatre (the differences between theatre and film, why some people prefer live performances, whether governments should fund theatres). Part 3: ছবি দেখা; থিয়েটার।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "why do some people prefer live theatre?", give a point (the atmosphere), explain it, then an example. For future/opinion questions use will/might/is likely to and show both sides before concluding. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ। ভবিষ্যৎ প্রশ্নে will/might; দুই দিক দেখান।
