Cambridge IELTS 13, Test 3, Speaking-
Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Examiners easily spot memorised answers. Speak naturally about your own life.
Two golden habits: Part 1 — Answer + Reason + Example; Part 3 — Point → Explain → Example.
Part 1: Money
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is money — whether you prefer to pay in cash or by card, whether you save money for special things, whether you would take a low-paid job, and whether winning a lot of money would change your life.
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a detail. For "do you prefer cash or card?", state your preference, explain why (convenience, tracking spending) and add an example. Use conditionals for the hypothetical questions (if I won…, I would…).
Useful openers: "I usually pay by…", "I tend to save up for…", "If I won a lot of money, I'd probably…" — then add because/since.
Part 2: Describe an interesting discussion you had as part of your work or studies
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: what the subject of the discussion was, who you discussed it with, what opinions were expressed, and to explain why you found the discussion interesting.

Choose a real discussion — a class debate, a group project meeting, or a work decision. Describe the topic, the different opinions people held, and why it stuck with you (you learned something, changed your mind, or enjoyed the disagreement). Use past tenses and reported speech (she argued that…, he pointed out…).
Part 3: Discussing Problems with Others; Communication Skills at Work
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are discussing problems with others (why it is good, whether it is better to talk to friends than family, whether telling many people is wise) and communication skills at work (which skills matter in meetings, the effects of poor written communication, the future impact of technology on workplace communication).
How to develop answers
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "why is it good to discuss problems with others?", give your point (a fresh perspective), explain why (others see what we miss), then an example. Show both sides and use "it depends" where useful.
