How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 13, Test 4, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives you the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Examiners easily spot memorised answers. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: Animals
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is animals — whether there are many animals or birds where you live, how often you watch programmes or read articles about wild animals, whether you have ever been to a zoo or wildlife park, and whether you would like a job working with animals. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় প্রাণী — আপনার এলাকায় প্রাণী/পাখি আছে কি না, বন্যপ্রাণীর অনুষ্ঠান কতটা দেখেন, চিড়িয়াখানায় গেছেন কি না, প্রাণী নিয়ে কাজ করতে চান কি না।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a detail. For "would you like a job working with animals?", state yes/no, explain why, and add a personal example. Remember to say "why/why not" — the prompts explicitly ask for it. উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ। "কেন/কেন নয়" বলতে ভুলবেন না।
Useful openers: "Where I live, there are quite a few…", "I occasionally watch…", "I've been to a zoo once or twice…" — then add because/since.
শুরুর বাক্যের পর because/since দিয়ে কারণ।
Part 2: Describe a website you use that helps you a lot in your work or studies
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: what the website is, how often you use it, what information it gives you, and to explain how your work or studies would change if this website didn't exist. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। ওয়েবসাইটটি কী, কতবার ব্যবহার করেন, কী তথ্য দেয়, এটি না থাকলে কী হতো।

Choose a website you genuinely use — a search engine, an online dictionary, a learning platform (like a video-lesson site) or a research database. Describe what it offers, how it helps, and use the second conditional for the last point (if it didn't exist, I would have to…). সত্যিকারের সাইট বাছুন — সার্চ ইঞ্জিন, অনলাইন অভিধান, শেখার প্ল্যাটফর্ম। শেষ পয়েন্টে second conditional ব্যবহার করুন।
Part 3: The Internet; Social Media Websites
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are the internet (why some people find it addictive, what the world would be like without it, how internet use may change in the future) and social media websites (the ways social media can be used positively, why some people post negative comments about others, whether companies' main form of advertising will be via social media in future). Part 3: ইন্টারনেট; সোশ্যাল মিডিয়া ওয়েবসাইট।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "why do some people find the internet addictive?", give your point (instant rewards), explain the mechanism (endless content, notifications), then an example. For future questions use will/might/is likely to. Show both sides. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ। ভবিষ্যৎ প্রশ্নে will/might; দুই দিক দেখান।
