How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 14, Test 4, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives you the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Examiners easily spot memorised answers. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: Your Neighbourhood
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is your neighbourhood — whether you like the neighbourhood you live in, what you do there in your free time, what new things you would like to have in it, and whether you would like to live in another neighbourhood. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় আপনার এলাকা — পছন্দ কি না, অবসরে কী করেন, কী নতুন চান, অন্য এলাকায় থাকতে চান কি না।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a detail. For "what would you like to have in your neighbourhood?", name one thing (a park, a library, better transport), explain why, and add a short example. Use place vocabulary and comparatives (quieter, more convenient). উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ। "কী নতুন চান?" — পার্ক/লাইব্রেরি/পরিবহন; কারণ ও উদাহরণ দিন।
Useful openers: "The area I live in is…", "What I like most is…", "If I could change one thing…" — then add because/since.
শুরুর বাক্যের পর because/since দিয়ে কারণ।
Part 2: Describe a website you have bought something from
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: what the website is, what you bought from it, how satisfied you were with what you bought, and to explain what you liked and disliked about using the website. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। কোন ওয়েবসাইট, কী কিনলেন, কতটা সন্তুষ্ট, ব্যবহারে কী ভালো-মন্দ।

Pick a real purchase — clothes, a phone, books or a gift from a well-known shopping site. Describe the ordering process, whether the product met your expectations, and what was easy or frustrating about the website (design, delivery, prices, reviews). Use past tenses for the purchase and present tenses to describe the site. সত্যিকারের কেনাকাটা বাছুন। অর্ডার প্রক্রিয়া, প্রত্যাশা পূরণ, ওয়েবসাইটের সহজ/বিরক্তিকর দিক বলুন।
Part 3: Shopping Online; Online Retail Businesses
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are shopping online (what people buy online, why online shopping has become popular, its possible disadvantages) and online retail businesses (whether online prices should be lower, whether shopping malls will survive, whether some businesses will operate only online in future). Part 3: অনলাইন কেনাকাটা; অনলাইন খুচরা ব্যবসা।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "will shopping malls survive?", give your point (yes, but changing), explain why (people still want a social, hands-on experience), then an example (malls adding cinemas and restaurants). Show both sides and use "it depends" where useful. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ। দুই দিক দেখান।
