How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 15, Test 2, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives you the topic of each part, an original model approach (how a Band 7+ candidate could organise ideas), and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.
Cambridge IELTS 15, Test 2, Speaking-এর টপিকের জন্য স্টাডি কম্প্যানিয়ন। Speaking-এ নির্দিষ্ট "উত্তর" নেই, তাই এখানে প্রতিটি অংশের বিষয়, একটি মৌলিক মডেল পদ্ধতি এবং দরকারি বাক্য ও শব্দভান্ডার দেওয়া হলো।
Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script to recite. Examiners easily spot memorised answers, and they lower your score. Speak naturally about your own life.
মুখস্থ করবেন না। এগুলো অনুশীলনের ধারণা ও ভাষা — মুখস্থ স্ক্রিপ্ট নয়। পরীক্ষক মুখস্থ উত্তর সহজেই ধরেন।
Two golden habits: in Part 1, use Answer + Reason + Example. In Part 3, use Point → Explain → Example (P-E-E). Both stop one-word answers and show development.
দুটি অভ্যাস: Part 1-এ উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ; Part 3-এ Point → Explain → Example।
Part 1: Languages
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions to warm you up (4–5 minutes). The topic is languages — how many languages you can speak, how useful English will be in your future, what you remember about learning languages at school, and which language you think would be hardest for you to learn. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন (৪–৫ মিনিট)। বিষয় ভাষা — কতগুলো ভাষা বলতে পারেন, ভবিষ্যতে ইংরেজি কতটা কাজে লাগবে, স্কুলে ভাষা শেখার স্মৃতি, কোন ভাষা শেখা কঠিন হবে।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then extend with a reason or example. For "how useful will English be in your future?", say very useful, give a reason (it's needed for higher study or a global career) and add a detail (I'll need it for university and for talking to clients abroad). This lets you use future forms (will, going to, plan to) naturally. সরাসরি উত্তর, তারপর কারণ/উদাহরণ। "ইংরেজি কতটা কাজে লাগবে?" — খুব, কারণ (উচ্চশিক্ষা/ক্যারিয়ার), একটি বিস্তারিত। future form ব্যবহার করুন।
Useful openers: "I can speak two languages, namely…", "English will be essential because…", "One thing I clearly remember is…" — then add a reason with because / since.
শুরুর বাক্যের পর because/since দিয়ে কারণ যোগ করুন।
Part 2: Describe a website that you bought something from
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare and make notes, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks you to say what the website is, what you bought from it, how satisfied you were with what you bought, and to explain what you liked or disliked about using the website. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, তারপর ১–২ মিনিট কথা। কার্ডে: ওয়েবসাইটটি কী, কী কিনেছিলেন, কতটা সন্তুষ্ট, এবং ব্যবহার করে কী ভালো/খারাপ লেগেছিল।
Planning in 1 minute (নোট কাঠামো)
What site
name & type কোন সাইট
What you bought
the product যা কিনেছেন
Satisfaction
quality, delivery সন্তুষ্টি
Like/dislike
the experience ভালো/খারাপ
Choose a real purchase you remember — a phone or clothes from Daraz, a book from an online store, or a ticket from a booking site. Say what you bought, whether it arrived on time and matched the description, and one thing you liked (easy checkout, good prices) and one you disliked (slow delivery, confusing layout). Use past tenses for the purchase and present tenses for describing the site. এমন কেনাকাটা বাছুন যা মনে আছে — Daraz থেকে ফোন/জামা, অনলাইন বই, বা টিকিট। যা কিনেছেন, সময়মতো এলো কি না, একটি ভালো ও একটি খারাপ দিক বলুন।
Part 3: Shopping Online; The Culture of Consumerism
Part 3 is a two-way discussion of more abstract questions linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are shopping online (what people in your country buy online, why online shopping has become so popular, and its possible disadvantages) and the culture of consumerism (why people keep buying things they do not need, whether the benefits of a consumer society outweigh the drawbacks, and how possible it is to avoid consumerism). Part 3 হলো Part 2-এর সাথে সম্পর্কিত বিমূর্ত প্রশ্নের আলোচনা। বিষয়: অনলাইন কেনাকাটা; ভোগবাদের সংস্কৃতি।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: state a Point, Explain it, then give an Example. For "why has online shopping become so popular?", give your point (convenience), explain why (you can shop anytime from home and compare prices), then an example (people in Bangladesh now order everything from groceries to electronics on their phones). Show both sides and don't be afraid to say "it depends". P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ। দুই দিক দেখান; "নির্ভর করে" বলা যায়।
