How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 3, Test 1, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: Family
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is family — whether you have a large or small family, a little about them, how much time you spend together, what you like to do together, and whether you get on well. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় পরিবার — বড় নাকি ছোট পরিবার, তাদের সম্পর্কে, একসাথে কত সময়, কী করেন, বনিবনা কেমন।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. Keep answers to two or three sentences and add an example. উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ; ২–৩ বাক্য।
Useful openers: "I come from a fairly big/small family…", "We usually spend time together at…", "I get on especially well with…"

Part 2: Describe a Teacher Who Has Influenced You
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks you to say where you met them, what subject they taught, what was special about them, and to explain why this person influenced you so much. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। বলুন কোথায় পরিচয়, কোন বিষয় পড়াতেন, কী বিশেষ ছিল, এবং কেন তিনি আপনাকে এত প্রভাবিত করলেন।

Pick a real teacher you remember — describe where and when you were taught by them, their subject, what made them special (patient, inspiring, fair), and the lasting effect they had on you. Use past tenses for the memories and present for their influence today. পরিচিত একজন শিক্ষককে বাছুন; স্থান, বিষয়, বিশেষ গুণ ও দীর্ঘস্থায়ী প্রভাব বলুন।
Part 3: Education & Learning
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are developments in education (how education has changed in your country in the last 10 years and what changes you foresee), a national education system (how today's school leavers compare with the previous generation and the role of extracurricular activities), and different styles of teaching and learning (which method works best for you and how useful it is to group students by ability). Part 3: শিক্ষার পরিবর্তন, জাতীয় শিক্ষাব্যবস্থা ও শেখানোর পদ্ধতি।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "how has education changed?", give a point, explain why, then an example. Show both sides and hedge (it depends…, generally) for opinion questions. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ; দুই দিক ও hedging।
