How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 3, Test 2, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Part 1: Festivals
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is festivals — the most important festival in your country, the special food and activities connected with it, what you most enjoy about it, and whether festivals are important for a country. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় উৎসব — আপনার দেশের প্রধান উৎসব, এর বিশেষ খাবার ও কার্যকলাপ, কী সবচেয়ে ভালো লাগে, এবং উৎসব দেশের জন্য গুরুত্বপূর্ণ কি না।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. Keep answers to two or three sentences and add an example (e.g. Eid, Pohela Boishakh). উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ; ২–৩ বাক্য (যেমন ঈদ, পহেলা বৈশাখ)।
Useful openers: "The biggest festival in my country is…", "We usually celebrate it by…", "What I love most is…"

Part 2: Describe a Film or TV Programme That Impressed You
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks you to say what kind of film or programme it was (e.g. comedy), when you saw it, what it was about, and to explain why it made such a strong impression on you. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। বলুন এটি কোন ধরনের (যেমন কমেডি), কখন দেখেছেন, কী নিয়ে, এবং কেন এত গভীর ছাপ ফেলল।

Choose a real film or programme — describe its genre, when you watched it, a short outline of the story, and why it moved you (the acting, message or emotions). Use past tenses for the story and present for why it still stays with you. পরিচিত একটি ফিল্ম/অনুষ্ঠান বাছুন; ধরন, কখন, সংক্ষিপ্ত কাহিনি ও কেন মন ছুঁয়ে গেল বলুন।
Part 3: Cinema, Real-Life Films & Censorship
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are people's cinema-going habits (whether cinema has grown or declined and whether the trend will continue), making films of real or fictional events (the advantages and disadvantages, and how far a film-maker should stay true to the story), and censorship and the freedom of the film-maker (whether films should be censored and how censorship laws might change). Part 3: সিনেমা দেখার অভ্যাস, বাস্তব/কল্পিত ঘটনার ফিল্ম ও সেন্সরশিপ।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "should films be censored?", give a point, explain why, then an example. Show both sides and hedge (it depends…, generally) for opinion questions. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ; দুই দিক ও hedging।
