How to Use This Companion (এই গাইড কীভাবে ব্যবহার করবেন)
A study companion for the Cambridge IELTS 7, Test 4, Speaking topics. Speaking has no fixed "answers", so this page gives the topic of each part, an original model approach, and useful phrases and vocabulary — all in our own words.

Don't memorise. These are ideas and language to practise with — not a script. Speak naturally about your own life.

Part 1: Travelling to Work or College
Part 1 asks simple, familiar questions (4–5 minutes). The topic is travelling to work or college — how you usually travel there, whether you have always travelled the same way, what you like about travelling this way, and what changes would improve your journey. Part 1-এ পরিচিত সহজ প্রশ্ন। বিষয় কাজ/কলেজে যাতায়াত — সাধারণত কীভাবে যান, সবসময় কি একইভাবে যেতেন, এই উপায় সম্পর্কে কী ভালো লাগে, কী পরিবর্তনে যাত্রা উন্নত হবে।
Model approach (মডেল পদ্ধতি)
Give a direct answer, then a reason and a small detail. The prompts ask "why/why not", so always add a reason. Keep answers to two or three sentences. উত্তর + কারণ + উদাহরণ। "কেন/কেন নয়" যোগ করুন; ২–৩ বাক্য।
Useful openers: "I usually travel by… because…", "I used to walk, but now I…", "What I like about it is…", "It would be better if…"

Part 2: Describe a Piece of Electronic Equipment You Find Useful
You get a cue card, one minute to prepare, then speak for 1–2 minutes. The card asks: what it is, how you learned to use it, how long you have had it, and to explain why you find this piece of electronic equipment useful. কিউ কার্ড, ১ মিনিট প্রস্তুতি, ১–২ মিনিট। এটি কী, কীভাবে ব্যবহার শিখলেন, কতদিন ধরে আছে, এবং কেন এটি দরকারি মনে করেন।

Choose a device you really use — a smartphone, laptop or camera — and explain how you learned it, how long you have owned it, and the ways it helps your daily life or study. সত্যিকার ব্যবহার করা যন্ত্র বাছুন (স্মার্টফোন, ল্যাপটপ, ক্যামেরা); কীভাবে শিখলেন, কতদিন, কীভাবে সাহায্য করে।
Part 3: Technology at Home & Work
Part 3 is a two-way discussion linked to Part 2 (4–5 minutes). The themes are technology and housework (what machines are used at home, how they have benefited people, whether all future homes will have them) and technology in the workplace (what equipment workers need, how technology has affected employment, and whether it has brought more stress than benefit). Part 3: ঘরে প্রযুক্তি ও কর্মক্ষেত্রে প্রযুক্তি।
How to develop answers (উত্তর কীভাবে বাড়াবেন)
Use P-E-E: Point, Explain, Example. For "has technology brought more stress than benefit?", give a point, explain why, then an example. Show both sides and use hedging (it depends on…, generally) for opinion questions. P-E-E: মত, ব্যাখ্যা, উদাহরণ; দুই দিক ও hedging।
